Kiwa’s Sjoerd Delnooz, Harald Ophoff, Mariël Hout and Sander Lueb recently visited the headquarters of Gaz Réseau Distribution France (GRDF) in Paris. Like Liander, Stedin and Enexis in the Netherlands, GRDF is responsible for the distribution of natural gas in France. Because France also considers hydrogen to be an important source of renewable energy, Kiwa showed about seventy GRDF employees the main differences between hydrogen and natural gas with the help of the Hydrogen Table.
Kiwa has ambitious business goals. For us it’s only logical that our CSR goals are equally ambitious in order to contribute to our engagement to corporate social responsibility. Therefore, we adhere to the CSR Performance Ladder, a management system certification standard.
As the first Dutch certification body, Kiwa has certified various Remeha boilers for the use of natural gas blended with up to 20% hydrogen. The energy transition in the Netherlands is in full swing and one of the ways to reduce CO₂ emissions is by adding hydrogen to natural gas, a process also known as admixture.
