Hydrogen fuel cell testing

Hydrogen

Hydrogen offers interesting possibilities for the energy transition. It is a promising alternative to natural gas, with numerous applications. In vehicles, using hydrogen instead of fossil fuels enables emission-free transport. Hydrogen can also play a role in the decarbonization of the industry: reducing CO₂ emissions through cleaner industrial processes.
The transition to hydrogen involves many aspects, such as technical development, economic feasibility and safety. In our advanced test lab, we make this concrete with technical assistance, testing, inspection and certification of hydrogen chain solutions.

Experience hydrogen in our Hydrogen Experience Center

Kiwa, in collaboration with Dutch network company Alliander, has built the first hydrogen demo house in the Netherlands. This Hydrogen Experience Centre, located at Kiwa’s premises in Apeldoorn, is a test and demo location set up as a residential house, where everyone can experience how hydrogen works in practice. It is also used as a training location for technicians and installers.

Hydrogen in Industry: The key to decarbonization

Is your industrial organisation ready for the energy transition? Many Dutch industrial companies are facing increasing pressure to reduce energy consumption, driven not only by societal expectations but also by stricter regulations. With the ambition to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 and a CO₂ reduction of 55% by 2030, the government expects companies to actively contribute to decarbonization. The question is: how can your business prepare and what role can hydrogen play in this?
