Job Summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is seeking an experienced Inspector to support supplier and vendor inspection activities for a CRP-SEP Water Treatment Package project in Tustin, California. This role involves executing and witnessing a variety of testing and inspection processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and industry requirements. The ideal candidate brings hands-on inspection experience and thrives in a detail-driven, technical environment.

About the role

  • Perform and witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Integrated Factory Acceptance Testing (IFAT)
  • Support and verify Cybersecurity testing procedures
  • Conduct load testing on lifting lugs in accordance with safety and engineering standards
  • Perform noise and vibration testing and document results
  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with applicable quality standards and client specifications
  • Interface with suppliers/vendors to coordinate and execute inspection activities
  • Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain proper documentation
  • Identify and report non-conformances and support resolution processes
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and client representatives

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven experience in supplier/vendor inspection within industrial or energy-related projects
  • Strong understanding of inspection and testing processes (FAT, IFAT, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with water treatment systems or similar process equipment
  • Familiarity with noise, vibration, and load testing methods
  • Background in QA/QC or engineering disciplines
  • Relevant certifications in inspection or quality control (preferred but not required)

Work Environment & Expectations

  • On-site role based in Tustin, CA (valid permit in USA is required)
  • Interaction with suppliers and vendors in a technical inspection setting
